Pam Barbour
PAM BARBOUR – ARTIST STATEMENT
Born and brought up on a farm in Kenya, Pam’s love for African wildlife was nurtured. Surrounded by the majesty of East Africa, Pam discovered her artistic talents at an early age.
Pam immigrated to Western Australia in 1982 and as she was so inspired by the Australian countryside, she began capturing Australian scenes on canvas. She is in awe of the trees, wildflowers and the incredible coastline.
African wildlife still remains the focus of her paintings today and her pictures help raise funds for conservation of the animals there.
Pam has won many awards and has had several successful solo exhibitions and today has paintings in private collections around the world.
Pam’s focus is on our vanishing world, capturing the beauty of our planet.
