MICHAEL SIEGENTHALER – ARTIST STATEMENT
Primarily my work deals with observations of light in landscape and the transient
nature of colour. The expanse of Australia’s landscape provides a challenging resource for the translation of nature’s infinite variety into controlled colour systems.
Coupled with a passion for oil paint as a medium and the physicality of painting, thestudy of colour provides a foundation for my current studio practice.
