Lynne Tinley



Lynne is a South African born artist. She received a BSc degree in Botany and Zoology at the University of Natal, South Africa. She has been working as an artist since 1965. Lynne is now an Australian citizen and has been living in WA since 1984.
She has had 20 solo exhibits. Her work has become increasingly sought after over the years. Her paintings are featured in private collections in many parts of Australia, in the USA, UK, Germany, Portugal, Namibia, Mozambique, Brazil and South Africa.
Lynne is highly skilled in several media. The delicate liveliness of her watercolours and the energy of her paintings on canvas show a mastery of handling paint and line. Lynne’s work reveals the intensity of her search to express a passion for the Earth and its wildness. This expression is informed by a lifetime of commitment to her art.

Training in Painting/Drawing, Printmaking:
1983: Painting at the Technical College of East London.
1963: Fine Art 1 at the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg.
1958-60: Painting at the Sdoya School of Art, Johannesburg.
