Cindy Lane

Born Sydney, Australia,

CINDY LANE, Dip CrA (Dean’s Honours) – Graduated 2009 James Cook University QLD, Creative Arts Dip. with Dean’s List Honours

Whilst living in Far North QLD, Cindy immersed herself in the vibrant art and academic community of the Tropics. It was here that she fostered her love of intense colour and intricate detail that reef and rainforest living promotes. With a Naturalist’s eye for observation, Cindy takes great pride in her accurate wildlife renderings.

Since 2010 Cindy has commenced a full time art practice, painting and teaching in various disciplines including calligraphy. She is exhibiting widely and has undertaken private commissions.

Cindy’s paintings and limited edition prints are in private collections around Australia, the UK, and USA.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Exploring is one of my greatest passions, both on and off the canvas.
Seeing, experiencing and learning are all part of this exploration, and is what makes life and art so exciting. I want the viewer to see through my eyes when they look at, and into, my work. I hope they can experience a slice of my life and the world I live in through my memories, distilled and concentrated onto canvas. “Never stop looking. Never stop learning” is my adage for both my life and art.
